How consultation fees work here (no numbers, just the how)

Money is a fair thing to wonder about before you book a health appointment. This piece explains how consultation fees work when you book a homoeopath through Homoeopaths.org.

You will not find any numbers here. That is on purpose. We do not publish fee figures in articles, and we never use fees to promote a practitioner. What we can do is explain the process plainly, so nothing about it surprises you.

Joining as a care-seeker is free

Signing up on the platform does not cost you anything. Our terms say that registration and the core features are currently free of charge. If that ever changes for any feature, the terms say you will be told clearly before any charge.

So you can create an account, look through practitioners and read their details without paying.

Each practitioner sets their own fee

We do not decide what a consultation costs. Each practitioner records their own fee. When you book, the amount charged is that practitioner’s own recorded fee. It is read from their record, not typed in during booking, so it cannot be changed on the way.

This means fees will differ from one practitioner to another. That is normal. A difference in fee is not a sign of skill, and it is not something we rank people by.

If a practitioner has not set a fee yet, online booking with them is not open. You will see a message saying so.

When you see the fee

You see the fee when you book. The booking page shows it once you are signed in. It appears again on the final step, right before you pay.

We keep fees out of promotional places on purpose. Our brand rules say a fee never appears in any advert or promotional template. A fee is a practical detail for your decision. It is not a selling point.

Only verified practitioners can be booked

Online booking only works with a practitioner whose registration has been verified. If a practitioner is not yet verified, the booking will not go through. This is one small way the platform protects you before any money moves.

How paying works

You pay for each appointment on its own. There is no bundle and no package.

Here is the order of events:

  1. You choose a date and a time.
  2. The platform holds that slot for you.
  3. You pay through Razorpay, a payment service used across India.
  4. Once the payment is confirmed, your appointment is confirmed.

We do not store your card details on our servers. Payments go through the payment provider.

If you do not finish paying

Sometimes a payment gets interrupted. The tab closes, or the network drops. In that case the slot is not held forever. After about half an hour with no payment, the hold is released, so someone else can book that time. You can simply book again when you are ready.

If money did leave your account but the booking did not go through, contact us. Our contact details are on the Contact page.

Questions worth asking about fees

It is completely fine to ask a practitioner about cost before you commit. Some simple questions:

  • Is the first appointment priced the same as a follow-up?
  • How long is each appointment?
  • Is there any other cost I should know about?

A clear, simple answer is a good sign. If something about cost feels unclear, ask again until it is clear.

What this page will not tell you

We will not tell you what a fair fee is. We will not tell you that paying more or less means better or worse care. And we will not tell you how many appointments you will need. Those are questions for the qualified practitioner you choose, based on your own situation.

Where to go next on this platform

“Questions Worth Asking Your Homoeopath” gives you a fuller list to take to your first visit. “How to Choose a Qualified Homoeopath” explains what to check before you book. And the For Care-seekers page is where you start looking for a homoeopath near you.

This piece is for learning. It is not medical advice. For your own health, please see a registered doctor.
