Two courses run through our college network: the BHMS degree, and MD (Hom.) by department.
BHMS — Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery
Five and a half years, including the internship, at the 12 colleges of our Uttar Pradesh network — all affiliated to Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Gorakhpur.
MD (Hom.) — Doctor of Medicine (Homoeopathy)
MD (Hom.) is a three-year postgraduate degree, studied by department. The National Commission for Homoeopathy recognises seven specialities: Homoeopathic Materia Medica, Organon of Medicine with Homoeopathic Philosophy, Repertory and Case Taking, Homoeopathic Pharmacy, Practice of Medicine, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry.
In our network, as published by the colleges themselves: Naiminath Homoeopathic Medical College, Agra offers MD in six departments (Materia Medica, Practice of Medicine, Organon, Repertory, Paediatrics and Homoeopathic Pharmacy). State Lal Bahadur Shastri Homoeopathic Medical College, Prayagraj offers MD in Materia Medica. State Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College, Kanpur runs an MD programme with 15 seats, and State National Homoeopathic Medical College, Lucknow admits MD batches — their department lists are being confirmed with the colleges.
